Another good family “beginner bike trail” is called the Aqueduct Trail in Keystone!

More great hike options for families with children
Old DIllon Reservoir located off of the Dillon Dam Road. It is a gentle continuous climb up, therefore slightly downhill on the whole way back! At the top is a small reservoir and some pretty awesome views. This hike is particularly awesome in the fall.
Oro Grande Trail - Skirts the mountainside between Dillon and Keystone. This hike is relatively flat and wide and also has some pretty amazing views!
Lily Pad Lake - There are 2 trailheads for this hike. One off of the I-70 Frisco exit, which I don’t recommend for anyone not in shape or probably 4th grade or above due to its continuous incline. The easier trailhead is located at the top of the Wildernest neighborhood outside of Silverthorne. Parking does fill up quickly and parking on the shoulder of any county road is prohibited, so you will need to time this one right or park near the Silverthorne Transfer Station and take the Free Summit Stage to and from your hike.
