Carter Park Dog Park - Breckenridge, Colorado
This 1 acre fenced dog park located only a few blocks off of Main St. Breckenridge is a favorite to both locals' and visitors alike. Due to it's popularity it tends to be quite heavily trafficked and on the "busy" side most of the time. The fence around the perimeter of the park is only about 4 feet tall, so keep this in mind if your dog tends to jump or enjoy a "great escape" especially during snow packed winter months.
Located at 300 S. High Street, Breckenridge, this dog park is part of Carter Park which offers the following features; public restrooms, a pavilion, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, and an open sod field. In the winter months Carter Park is host to Breckenridge’s favorite free sledding hill.
Parking: Carter Park does have extremely limited free parking near the dog park and tennis courts. Most in town parking in Breck is paid parking. The closer one wishes the park to main street or gondola access the higher the hourly parking rate is. More details on parking in Breck can be found here.
Dog Park Hours: Open 24 Hours (no lights), 365 days/year
Cost: Free!

Maryland Creek Park - Silverthorne, Colorado
Summit's newest dog park! Offering both a large dog and a small dog fenced doggie play area. A large fenced enclosure that is mostly rock and dirt with some small hills and a handful very young trees is available to larger dogs. or those small dogs that like to play like they are big. The small dog enclosure is quite a bit smaller in size, but offers plenty of space for smaller dogs to run and play without being in danger of getting trampled by larger dogs. The fence around both the areas is on the shorter side (I would estimate approximately 4.5 feet), so if you have dogs that like to jump and test boundaries, this may not be the park for you. No need to bring water along for your 4 legged friends, simply use the specialty doggie water fountains provided on site!
Located at 44 Maryland Creek Lane, Silverthorne Maryland Creek park also offers public restrooms, a 9 hole disc golf course, multi use grass field, pavilion, and direct trail access to Summit Sky Ranch’s public hiking loop! In the wintertime you and your family can also enjoy this park’s free sledding hill and warming hut!
Parking: Parking is ample and free of charge!
